QMS Training reaches out

With the focus on job creation in the current economic climate, Polokwane Observer has teamed up with a local training facility, QMS Training to create five free opportunities for unemployed people to enter the labour market with the backing of an accredited qualification.
QMS Training is based in the city and is assisted by Polokwane Observer to source five employers in need of workers who are qualified in the operation of forklifts, TLBs, front loaders, or dump trucks or have received the required training in scaffolding and working at heights, rigging and slinging, safety harnesses, occupational health and safety, dangerous goods and hazard identification and risk assessment (Hira).
According to Manager of QMS Training, Pie­ter Brittion, the training will be offered free of charge but the only condition is that the trainee should be at least 18 years old and currently unemployed and that the employing business should provide employment after the training.
“We will assist with the screening of applicants to ensure that they are suitable for the job and that the prospective employer is also in agreement to employ the trainee before we start with the training,” Brittion explains.
Brittion says that the project is part of the company’s social responsibility programme and indicated that businesses with prospective trainess should contact him directly on 082 707 5884 or 015 291 3262.
