A mother of two from Phuthaditjhaba area in the Free State, Sarah Matsoso was announced as the 2019 winner of Spar Win a Car competition in Polokwane last Friday.
Motsoso walked away with a brand new Hyundai i10 which retails at R193,900 after she was chosen electronically out of myriads of Spar customers who participated in the competition from May until June.
She bought groceries worth R300 from Limpopo Spar at corner of Market and Hospital streets in May and entered her name in the competition. “I can’t believe I won the competition. I am employed but I cannot afford a car. I have been praying hard for a vehicle and I am happy that God has answered my prayers,” Matsoso said.
She also thanked the employees at the store for creating awareness about the competition. “I was visiting my sister in Polokwane in May and I passed by the store to buy groceries for her. After the purchase the cashiers told me about the competition and its benefits and I decided to enter. I want to thank them because if it was not for them I would not have participated,” Matsoso said.
Congratulating Matsoso, Zack Roodt, a manager at Limpopo Spar, said “We are happy for her and we hope she will enjoy riding her car with her family,” Roodt said. He also encouraged all Spar customers to make use of the great opportunities created by their in-store competitions and promotions.
