“The police have been working around the clock, following up on leads relating to separate robberies in the Bela-Bela area. Investigations positively linked the two men to two house robberies on farms in and around Radium. They were arrested at their homes,” said Police Spokesperson, Const Maphure Manamela in a statement on Wednesday.

During both robberies, four armed suspects forced entry into the houses, held the owners at gunpoint, tied them up before robbing them of their valuables. Two of the robberies occurred a little less than a month apart.

During the arrests, police recovered items which they believe were taken during the robberies.

Manamela added that these suspects may be linked to other farm robberies in the area.  “Investigations are still ongoing and more arrests are eminent.”
