POLOKWANE – Edward Kgarosi  says it was always a dream of his to be a successful entrepreneur and after he completed his marketing diploma he made his dream a reality and opened his food business Kgarosi Kgaros Enterprise (PTY) Ltd and ever since then, he hasn’t looked back.

He has since tasted the sweet taste of success and gives Review readers tips of how to become a successful entrepreneur.

He says that owning a business gives you a sense of freedom and empowerment because one can build things and watch them grow as the years progress. “The good thing about being an entrepreneur and a business owner is that we make our own decisions and realise our creative visions, and develop lasting relationships with other entrepreneurs, customers, and vendors. This is a great way to live, and that’s why I’ve founded my own company because in reality, no one else can build your business except yourself,” he adds.

Edward further advises business owners to always have a positive attitude towards other business owners. “Be passionate about your business, be a hard worker and have perseverance because without it, you’re not going to be succeed in entrepreneurial world. You have to take risks and challenge yourself if you want to be a successful entrepreneur because no one else is going to push you except yourself, most importantly, learn to trust yourself as a business person,” he advised.

He concludes by saying when owning a business, you need to plan your finances and budget properly. “Know your target market when it comes to customers and working with bigger companies,” he adds.

Edward Kgarosi recently won the award for agro-processing recognition under the category Youth in Agricultural Fisheries and Forestry awards. Read more about this and his plans for the future in this week’s Review Bonus.
