POLOKWANE – During the unveiling of a brand-new bronze statue for the first judge president of Limpopo Judge President E.M Makgoba, the MEC for Safety and Security, Dickson Masemola, took the opportunity to congratulate him and said the sculpture unveiled symolises hard work, sincerity, love and loyalty to the people of this province and country.

During his speech he also touched on the importance of state entities working together to create conditions conducive to social cohesion. “The government, law enforcement as well as law practitioners must take hands to ensure a a system is created ‘where residents can enjoy their rights as a client in our constitution’.

He concluded his speech with a stern warning to the department together with other stakeholders like law practitioners that they should not bow down from their obligations. “We took on the responsibility and together we will prevent, combat crime and secure the protection and safety of our people. We shall triumph in eradicating criminal activities of all kinds from our province.”
