Two suspects arrested in connection with the hijacking and kidnapping of a Riverside businessman

The two suspects, along with two others who fled on foot, allegedly accosted a 37-year-old businessman from Riverside, robbed him of his cellphone and cash, before kidnapping him.

LIMPOPO – Two suspects will appear in the Nebo Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 8 July, on carjacking and kidnapping charges.

Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says police were notified of two suspicious vehicles travelling at a high speed towards the Mogorwane village and responded quickly. A car chase ensued and the two suspects in the Ford Ranger abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The two arrested suspects were driving a VW Golf 6.

“The kidnapped victim was found, unharmed, inside the Ford Ranger. Police are still tracing the remaining suspects and we appeal to anyone with information that can lead to their arrest to contact Warrant Officer Ernest Mogawane at 082 5734672, the crime stop number 0860010111 or the nearest police station,” Ngoepe concluded.
