Raw talent is still talent, says Legacy nights’ Mahlatse Vokal

After struggling to gain exposure, local musician Mahlatse Vokal has finally created the perfect platform to boost and motivate upcoming artists to invest in their craft.

POLOKWANE – Legacy nights offers everyone an opportunity to showcase their talent in a red-carpet affair. This is a non-profit event where the only incentive you get is exposure and a networking session that enables you to meet your future gig.

“The aim is to create an exclusive event that will benefit upcoming artists in creating a name and profile for themselves without having to struggling with sourcing a platform,” Mahlatse says.

Legacy Nights caters for all artists, from singers to poets and instrumentalists in every form. If one is interested in joining the line up, they can contact Mahlatse to or organise an audition or send a demo.

The only requirement for this audition is RAW talent! The best thing about this process is that no one ever gets left out, if you do not make the cut for the upcoming legacy night, Mahlatse Vokal offers an informal mentorship program where they help you improve your skills in a more laid-back platform.

If you are one of the 6 artists chosen to perform for the night, performance training and transportation will be available at your convenience. Legacy Nights happens once a month, find out more in next week’s Bonus Review.
