Police are still investigating the motive behind the killing of a husband and wife whose bodies were discovered in a house at Namakgale on the weekend.
According to Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe members of the community made the discovery and informed Police.
Upon their arrival at the scene Police found both bodies of Ephraim (61) and Beauty Mashile (32) in a house. Both bodies had gunshot wounds and a firearm with four rounds of live ammunition was found on the scene, according to Ngoepe.
The motive behind the incident is still not clear but domestic violence cannot be ruled out and two cases of murder are still being investigated for the time being. Provincial Police Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba condemned the persistent incidents of domestic-related killings in the province.
Members of the community are advised and encouraged to consult with relevant professionals and authorities in case of domestic-related situations.
