Malamulele Hospital has been without water for two weeks, says Health MEC

As an interim measure, the hospital is using containers to store water, however, it is not enough for the hospital to run efficiently.

LIMPOPO – X-rays, casualty, general and maternity wards are some of the services that have been affected by a two week long water supply interruption at the Malamulele Hospital.

In a statement released by Limpopo Department of Health, MEC, Ramathuba explains that management, the hospital board as well as local and district municipalities are working around the clock to deal with the crisis.

She stated that protests in Phego village are the reason for the interruption in water supply to Malamulele. As an interim measure, the hospital is using containers to store water, however, it is not enough for the hospital to run efficiently.
