BTGYE offers youth the stepping stones to success
Bridging the Gap Youth Empowerment, (BTGYE) hosted an event on 29 June where they helped grade 12 learners with university applications.
POLOKWANE – The NPO is founded by university students whose aim is to uplift the youth through various projects such as mentorship, life coaching, recreational activities, offering academic support and guidance on tertiary study options. “It is a stepping stone or rather a bridge for the youth to reach their goals,” said Phumudzo.
They are currently running a mentorship programme whereby the university students within the organsation mentor grade 12 learners and help guide them on how to survive grade 12 academic pressure and ultimately get admission to tertiary institutions. “We provide information about application dates, required documents and application fees so that they best prepare themselves to apply for admission for the 2019 academic year at universities of their choice,” he added.
