[WATCH] Police parade on Webster Street as part of Operation Swara Tsotsi

The operation will be carried out through the province with various sub-operations that will be aimed at fighting crime and ensuring criminals are brought to book.

POLOKWANE – The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Namane Dickson Masemola and the Acting Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers, this morning, 28 June, launched Operation Swara Tsotsi in Polokwane.

Spokesperson to the MEC, Joel Seabi says the operation will be carried out through the province with various sub-operations that will be aimed at fighting crime and ensuring criminals are brought to book.

The operation will include various role players including government departments, police units and community based crime prevention structures.

The launch will commence with a multidisciplinary parade by police, Polokwane Municipal Community Safety, provincial and municipal traffic officers, which will be addressed by the MEC Masemola.
