185 learners from a school outside Polokwane hospitalised for suspected food poisoning

The Limpopo Department of Health's spokesperson, Neil Shikwambana says the learners complained of symptoms ranging from abdominal pains and running stomachs

POLOKWANE – 185 learners from Motse Maria High School have been admitted to various hospitals around Polokwane for suspected food poisoning.

The school is situated in Ga-Mashashane, outside Polokwane.

The Limpopo Department of Health’s spokesperson, Neil Shikwambana says the learners were taken to the Seshego, Pietersburg and W.F Knobel Hospitals for treatment after complaining of abdominal pains and running stomachs. 

“That is all the information we have at the moment, more information will be provided in due course,” he told Review.
