Six burned to death in tragic R81 head-on collision

The collision happened near Dingamazi village at about 01:00 on Sunday, 16 June.

LIMPOPO – The accident happened when two motor vehicles, a BMW and a Mercedes Benz collided head-on.

The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions and during the collision, the BMW caught fire and burned with the occupants, said Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe in a statement on Sunday morning.

“All the deceased are still unknown at this stage but the police are circulating the description of the two motor vehicles as part of the identification process and ask anyone who can help identity the deceased to go to the Giyani Police Station,” Ngoepe added.

The cause of this accident is a subject to the ongoing Police investigations.
