POLOKWANE – Two men, aged 21 and 24-years-old, have been arrested during a tactical, intelligence-led joint operation conducted in the Seshego policing area, a statement by police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe said.
On Friday evening, 7 June, police responded to a call regarding the local community gathered in the Ga-Makibelo village, Moletjie, outside Seshego. On arrival, they found a man (22), lying on the ground with serious injuries to his body. The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Matsosa Kobo.

“Police immediately began tracking the suspects involved in the matter and they were soon arrested. The suspects will appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court, soon, and more arrests are expected,” Ngoepe added
Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba, has applauded the swift reaction by police in arresting the suspects within a short period of time.
“Communities are warned to refrain from taking the law into their own hands by attacking or killing those suspected of committing crimes. Those who continue to participate in these irresponsible activities are going to be dealt with mercilessly and without compromise,” concluded General Ledwaba.
