Learners of Kids Kingdom Pre-School embarked on a day excursion to a local petting farm to learn more about animals on Tuesday.
Principal Nathalie Nkuna said the trip was determined by the curriculum.
“We are shaping dreams and careers through such excursions. We want to produce veterinarians and animal farmers from the school. We teach them about animals in class every day.
They read about them and draw pictures of them but never saw them in real life. We felt we should give them that first-hand experience, especially at an early age. We also wanted them to learn about sociable animals such as rabbits, chickens, horses and fish. These are the kinds of animals they can keep at their respective homes,” Nkuna said.
