Kelebogile Mokgoebo, a finalist in the 2019 Miss Teenager South Africa pageant, paid a visit to Pietersburg Comprehensive School (PCS) last Friday where she spent time with the learners.
Kelebogile, a Grade 10 pupil at Capricorn High School engaged with her former school on various social and academic issues less than a month before the pageant final that is set to take place on 1 June.
She also shared detail about her journey in the modelling industry and the success she has experienced thus far.
“It was a courtesy visit,” Kelebogile, who completed her primary school career at PCS in 2016, explained. She added that she thought it proper to share her finalist status with her former educators and fellow learners. “I started modelling while still at PCS and I wanted to show them that everything is possible and that dreams do come true,” she said.
PCS educator Makosha Matseba thanked Kelebogile for taking the time to motivate the learners. “It was a fruitful session and the learners enjoyed interacting with her. We spoke to her after she was named as a finalist but it was only now that her academic schedule made the visit possible,” Matseba said and added: “We called her to motivate our learners, especially those that want to venture into modelling.”
Matseba also said the school was proud of their former student and wished her every success in the finals of the pageant as well as her modelling career.
