Drum majorettes teams from primary and secondary schools in the province were eager to demonstrate their skills and techniques during the second Limpopo Majorettes and Cheerleading Association (Limca) competition hosted by Jabez Christian Academy at Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé on Saturday.
More than 15 schools had entered the competition themed ‘Day of Stars’ that was a qualifier for the provincial contest. Jabez majorette coaches Madelein Potgieter and Yolandie Viljoen said the winning team at the provincials would represent Limpopo at the national competition scheduled for 22 to 29 June in Port Elizabeth.
They expressed their excitement about the opportunity to host the competition which offered certificates and medals to the winners.
