POLOKWANE – Mathakga Legodi local soccer enthusiast and learner from Westenburg Secondary School, was one of 19 soccer players who recently represented his country at the Footballers Experience Tournament competition in America.

“It was an honor to meet international soccer legends such as Tomy Oxford who plays for the Quakes Football club in America. We often watch them on television and to meet them was very motivating. His wise and warm words and his story has inspired me to work hard at crafting my skills and talents on the soccer pitch,” he added.

Mathakga is now looking forward to going to Sweden in June, to get a feel of playing on European soil, he says.
