Young man killed, three injured in R101 head-on collision

A man was killed and three people injured, after a Hyundai sedan crashed head-on with a Chevrolet sedan on the R101 on Sunday.

LIMPOPO – According to a post on the Traffic Policing Affairs Limpopo Facebook page the accident happened on the R101 at the Naboom Fontein road in Mokopane Police area.

“The one driver, of about 26 years of age, died on scene and the other driver and a passenger sustained serious injuries. One other passenger sustained slight injuries,” reads the post.

Reports on social media suggest that the driver of the one of the sedans reportedly lost control after hitting an animal in the road, however the exact cause of the collision will form part of a police investigation.
