#WFD – Easy Pepper Steak Pie

If you do not have individual ramekins, this dish can also be made in one big dish.

POLOKWANE – A Pepper Steak Pie always has and always will be a classic.

Maybe it’s because the two work so well together or because it’s just delicious?

The following recipe, by What’s for Dinner is easy and simple and everyone will be happy because with this recipe, you make individual pies.

Ingredients

  1. 15ml oil
  2. 1 x packet KNORR Hearty Beef Stew with Rosemary Dry Cook-in-Sauce
  3. 50g flour
  4. 800g beef, cubed
  5. 500ml water
  6. 1 x roll puff pastry (thawed)
  7. 15ml black pepper
  8. 1 x egg, lightly beaten

Method

  1. Roll the beef cubes in the pepper and dust in flour.
  2. In a pan heat the oil and brown the cubes.
  3. Add the KNORR Hearty Beef Stew Cook-in-Sauce and water.
  4. Simmer for 25-30 minutes or until beef is tender.
  5. Place in an ovenproof dish or 4 individual dishes.
  6. Roll out the pastry and place over the mixture to create the top of the pie.
  7. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. Bake pie in a preheated 200°C oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve with mashed potato and vegetables.
