Know how to recognise a Review/Bonus/Capricorn Voice seller

Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, street corners are a little busier than usual. It is on these days that street vendors, sell copies of Capricorn Voice (Wednesday) and Review (Thursdays and Fridays).

POLOKWANE – If you drive the same route every day, you might find that the newspaper sellers start recognising you, and before you can even ask, they have your newspaper ready when you roll down your window.

Unfortunately, some street sellers like to bend the rules.

The newspaper seller on the corner of Marshall and Webster streets no longer works for Review, but he refuses to stop selling our newspapers. He bought himself an orange bib, similar to the one Review’s sellers wear. He now torments readers asking for money for food or something to drink, or he sells the newspaper for more than the asking price.

Review received several complaints from readers regarding this street seller. The Capricorn Voice is only R2 and the Review is R3. The Bonus is FREE.

Readers should not pay more than the asking price and should not buy newspapers from sellers who are not branded with the newspaper brands.

If you want to give one of our friendly newspaper sellers a tip, you are more than welcome to so.
