POLOKWANE – The community protest on R37 at Thokgwaneng Village next to the Chuene is still underway and protesters have placed big stones in the roadway.
In a statement released, Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala on Thursday evening, advised motorists not to travel the road late at night and to use the alternative R519 (Kushkee Road) when travelling between Lebowakgomo and Polokwane.

Motorists are in the meantime advised to use alternative R519 (Kuschke road) when traveling between Lebowakgomo and Polokwane.

“Our traffic officers and the police are on scene to handle the issue of blockaded road,” he concluded.
