Malema says he’s confident the EFF will get 51% of Lim vote

EFF Leader, Julius Malema committed that, under EFF rule, the dignity of people would be restored through economic freedom.

POLOKWANE –  There is not much to celebrate when people remain landless and economically marginalised. This was the message of EFF Leader, Julius Malema, when he addressed potential voters at the Capricorn Region Rally which was held at Seshego Stadium on Saturday.

He committed that, under EFF rule, the dignity of people would be restored through economic freedom. Malema refuted rumours of him returning to the ruling party, saying it was not the first time that highly placed people in the ANC wanted to confuse the electorate.

“Those in the ANC who claim they’ve approached me are exposing their own stupidity. For me to return to the ANC, the ANC must go back to the conference and take a decision to ‘unexpel’ me because I was expelled and didn’t leave of my own accord. They pretend as if it is like a hotel where you can check in and check out. It doesn’t work like that.”

He continued to say that as the EFF, they are set to build their own organisation instead of getting involved in ruling party politics. “We are now at foundation level, digging solidly for our party to become sustainable for years to come. We are not in a hurry because easy come, easy go.”
According to Malema, education and unemployment remain key issues.

“When people are employed, it means they have money to build houses, buy food, and can afford medicine. Our priority should be education. If you give education for free you are going to reduce the list of RDP applicants and social grants and thereby save money to re-invest in education.”

He said that, judging by the turnout at the rally, it was clear that ground forces in Limpopo associated themselves with the EFF. “For another party to pull this kind of crowd, they would have to call ministers, premiers and even celebrities.”

He said he is confident that the EFF would obtain a 51% vote in Limpopo in the election next Wednesday.
