Polokwane Observer will, as from its edition of 2 May 2019 be distributed free of charge. This is in keeping with Media24’s most recent strategy of making the community newspapers in its stable available to as wide a readership as possible.
The philosophy behind this approach is twofold. Firstly, anyone interested in the newspaper can, despite their economic standing, access the paper. Secondly, the paper is guaranteed to reach as wide an audience as possible within its approved distribution range.
In the case of Polokwane Observer 8 500 copies will be available at our customary selling points and street corners as well as some newly identified distribution points. Other Media24 community papers that are already distributed free of charge include the Western Cape based Eikestad Nuus and Swartland Gazette.
