Municipal employee killed after being run over by a truck in the Thohoyandou CBD

LIMPOPO – Police in Thohoyandou are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a 37-year-old female employee of the Thulamela Municipality (EPWP), was allegedly run over by a municipal truck whilst collecting refuse in the Thohoyandou CBD.

In a statement released, police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo explained that the driver of the truck who was unaware of the deceased at the back, reversed the truck, instantly killing the woman.

“The incident took place at around 09:15 this morning. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are unfolding,” Mojapelo explained.
