“I started my community work when I was in high school, although it was not formal, I used to help those in need. As I grew older, I started a non-profit organisation aimed at championing the interest of youth. I try to provide support to child-headed families, by providing them moral and educational support through the programme we facilitate after school. I also help the elderly by providing them opportunities to learn and acquire skills, which will assist them to be able to fend for themselves and their families. I have partnered with a private company, Maruatona, through which we have so far managed to take in about 70 women for a 12-month learnership programme. We strongly believe that if women can find work, poverty will decrease. We plan to empower even more,” he explained.

The name of his NPO is called Aganang Youth Structure for boys and girls Educational Foundation (AYSEF). He says he is looking to have more people on board, particularly youth who have managed to study and equip themselves with knowledge and education needed to make life better.

His work as a community developer shows greatly, as he holds various volunteer roles within different non-profit organisations which deal with various issues including; youth development, human rights and community safety.
