PEPPS Preparatory School’s Grades 4 to 7 learners delivered a strong anti-bullying message during a play staged at the school hall recently.
School Executive Head Annabel Roberts indicated that the learners collaborated to write the script, made the props and the set under the guidance of educator Di-Marie Minnie and a team of educators. The story line followed an anti-bullying theme ‘A Raisin’, she stated and added that in the play a sock goes to the Sock Academy to learn how to be a good sock.
“At her new school she makes new sock friends, but also encounters a group of bully socks. Raisin stands up for herself and her friends and the bullies realise that they should rather be kind,” Roberts narrated.
The audience was in for a surprise when, at the end of the show, educators claimed the stage to deliver a dance with an anti-littering message, it was learnt. Roberts concluded by saying it was a delight to see the learners showcase their talents on stage.
