Mantheding Primary School receives a facelift from Shell

The Shell Sediba owner, Phumudzo Maphiri said the initiative is part of their way to give back to the community, especially communities who are disadvantaged.

POLOKWANE – Mantheding Primary School in Ga-Dikgale, received a face-lift sponsored by Shell Sediba Filling Station, on Friday, 5 April.

The Shell Sediba owner, Phumudzo Maphiri said the initiative is part of their way to give back to the community, especially communities who are disadvantaged. Together with his staff, Maphiri gave Mantheding Primary School a makeover by rebuilding the children’s toilets, transforming the pit toilets into flushing toilets, as well as repainting the classrooms inside and outside.

“Our theme is #WeCareAboutYou. We at Shell Sediba always make sure the safety of people comes first, which is why we decided to ensure the school has proper sanitation. Now they can lead and foster a healthy and hygienic routine in the children. Sanitary is dignity, we hope other business owners and entrepreneurs can follow in our footsteps, and help especially schools, clinics and old age homes from rural areas,” he added.

To show gratitude the school entertained the personnel of Shell Sediba with songs, cultural dances and poems by the learners.
