[TRAFFIC ALERT] Motorists advised to avoid R81 near Ga-Sekgopo due to protest action

POLOKWANE – Motorists are advised to avoid driving on R81 near Ga-Sekgopo due to ongoing protest action.

Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala says protestors in the area are throwing stones at vehicles that are passing by and they have also blockaded the road with big stones.

“We are urging motorists to please use alternative routes such as the Sekgosese and Soekmekaar Roads,” he advised.

Moremi-Taueatsoala says law enforcement officers are attending to the situation.
