[TAKE NOTE] Planned power shutdown to affect Seshego tomorrow

The planned shutdown will affect all zones (1-8) in Seshego, Zone 1 Extension, Luthuli Park, Madiba Park and Hospital View.

POLOKWANE – Residents in Seshego are advised of a planned power shutdown for urgent maintenance work on the Sigma Substation on Saturday, 6 April 2019.

The activity will include the replacement of two 11 kilovolt Circuit Breaker Panels that burnt and technicians will have to switch off the substation in order for the work to take place.

“The planned shutdown will affect all zones (1-8) in Seshego, Zone 1 Extension, Luthuli Park, Madiba Park and Hospital View. The planned interruption will be implemented from 07:00 on 6 April and should everything go as planned, electricity would be restored by 16:00,” municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selela said in a statement.

All electrical wiring should be considered to be live and all electrical appliances including geysers should be switched off to avoid injury and damage.
