Mokopane to possibly face yet another dry weekend, says Yolande Coetzee

Residents face another weekend without water if the reservoir levels do not pick up.

MOKOPANE – Yolande Coetzee, DA Councillor, said the reservoirs levels are empty due to the fact that the reservoirs were opened this morning and the water levels dropped to fall fast as the water went into the system.
“The reservoirs have to be closed again to get the levels up. Hopefully this will help restore water supply to the town and surrounding areas by tomorrow.”

Coetzee said it is not only Mokopane that is without water. “Mahwelereng , Home 2000 are also without water. Unit D and the railway houses have been without water for the past two weeks.
The community has to do more to save water, Coetzee concluded.
