Mall of the North through their social outreach programme hosted underprivileged children residing at the Noah’ Ark Children’s Home in Tzaneen on Tuesday.
The children were treated to fun games ranging from trampoline, arcades, a bowling mountain and rock climbing at the The Fun Company.
Kevin Delsouiller, Manager of Noah’s Ark Children’s Home indicated that they wanted to give the children an opportunity to forget their challenges and misfortune and relish the fun and entertainment side of life. “The children hardly go out and they are on holiday. We felt we should give them a treat. We wanted them to enjoy life and see what other children do for fun,” Delsouiller said.
Asnath Maluleke, Team Leader at The Fun Company, said they were glad to host the children. “This is the second group we hosted from various orphanages in the province this year. It was good to see smiles on their faces. They enjoyed the activities and playing along with other children,” Maluleke said.
Marketing Manager for Mall of the North, Mari Delport said they wanted the children to enjoy their school holidays. “The management of Noah’s Ark Children’s Home approached us. They asked if they could bring their children to the mall for a treat and we did not hesitate because we care about our communities and children are close to our hearts. We wanted to make their holidays bearable and fun because they can’t go away like other children.” She said hosting the group at The Fun Company was an easy decision to make as it offered all the children’s favourite games and activities.
Delsouiller thanked Amarillo Spur for hosting the young ones for lunch.
