Pietersburg Comprehensive School (PCS) recently launched an anti-bullying campaign at the school with the aim of uprooting bullying and curbing the apparent trend of gangsterism evolving among teenagers.
Headmaster of the school, Rudi Fick said they decided to launch the campaign because bullying and fighting amongst the learners is a hot topic. “It is a reality in all schools. Bullying is an evil and I believe that, together with parents and community members, we can fight it,” Fick said.
During Polokwane Observer’s visit learners at the school were seen displaying badges with different messages against bullying on their blazers.
Prefects and educators have also resorted to working together to monitor any signs of bullying behaviour which may occur at the school.
