POLOKWANE – For months on end the Relay committee planned for this yearly event, but with only a few days left before the day, they were informed that the Peter Mokaba Stadium is no longer available.

“The committee have tried making other plans, but to no avail and in the end decided to have a mini relay, this Saturday, at the Cansa offices in College Street. The Cansa Rely for Life has been postponed to October,” explains chairperson of the committee, Sally Hansen.

There are about 24 teams that already paid and registered and Sally says these teams now have the opportunity to ‘really get into raising money and doing all sorts of exciting activities as a team’.

“Teams that have not yet registered now have the opportunity to register for the relay taking place in October,” Sally explains.

On Saturday, there will be a market at Cansa’s offices and at the same time, the Relay will be launched.
