Mokopane reservoirs opened following yesterday’s closure

Repairs are expected to take more than 24 hours

MOKOPANE – The reservoirs are being opened following yesterday’s closure due to a major pipe burst in Fourie Street.

Kids playing in the water yesterday afternoon after a pipe burst in Fourie Street that leD to the temporary closure of the reservoirs.

Residents are reminded that  it may take a while before all areas  have water as the underground system must be filled first.

MOKOPANE – The reservoirs are being closed now, due to an major pipe burst in Fourie Street.

Yolande Coetzee, DA Councillor, says the reservoirs can only be opened after repairs to the damaged pipe have been completed. This could take more than 24 hours and in meantime residents are urged to use water sparingly  to try and maintain the water in the underground system.
