POLOKWANE – Van Staden said this gathering of businesswomen in the city, is not your run-of-the-mill tea and cake session.
Participants are entrepreneurs or in some way part of a corporate business.
“I made myself meet someone new every day and make a difference where I live.
“In Polokwane we see each other often, in the street, in the shop, at an event, and we often say we know a person. Making the connection of getting to know someone, however, is a literal action.”
For future events, Van Staden partnered with several others to bring her idea to life, “to get women talking, to get women sharing their expertise”.
During the Network on the Go events, like-minded people will share the seats or the stage, but there will always be a lesson to take back to the office, to your colleagues, your peers, friends and family.
The first speaker for the event was Director Magdaleen de Klerk from DDKK Attorneys Inc, who spoke about women’s rights.
The next Network on the Go event will be held on 20 March.
