Four suspects arrested in connection with the alleged killing of Marks Rambau, Deputy Director at the Department of Transport and Community Safety, are expected back in court next week.
Rambau was allegedly killed and his body dumped along Webster Street extension in January. A security guard allegedly saw a blue Volkswagen Polo stopping and a man emerging and dragging something wrapped in plastic into the bush before returning to the vehicle.
The man, joined by a woman, later returned and set the bag alight before leaving.
It is alleged that the suspects then drove to Rambau’s house where they took his Jeep Wrangler and a television set.
Four suspects were arrested within days after the incident. Ebrahim Fazilahmed (27) who was found in possession of Rambau’s Jeep and Dakalo Mukwevho found in possession of his cell phone were recently granted bail in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court while Clement Orobosa Imazobi (27) and Comfort Khomotso Mankuru (24) who were arrested in connection with the actual murder are still in custody. All four suspects are expected back in court next week.
