The Grade 1 learners of Northview Christian School had some early experience of fundraising and entrepreneurship on Friday when they hosted a cupcake fundraiser sale with the purpose of bringing in some money for the school.
The parents played a huge role in the success of the day because they supplied the cupcakes, muffins and cakes that were sold at minimal prices to all the learners.
The profit made will be donated to the school. Educators Dineo Thema and Ulanie Nel indicated that the money raised would help improve the Grade 1 block, maintain the premises and buy additional study material for learners.
They further stressed that such activities are hosted often to help the school.
