The Capricorn district athletics meeting for P1 schools made for some exciting action at old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday.
More than 200 athletes represented primary schools from the Polokwane North, Polokwane South, Sekgosese, Kone Kwena, Mankweng, Senwabarwana and Mogodumo clusters.
The aim of the meet was to determine the team that would represent the district at the provincial meeting to be held at a date yet to be determined.
One of the officials Andronicca Somo indicated that the meeting went well and was incident free, adding that they were selecting two to three athletes per code for the team.
She applauded the athletes who participated for their commitment and dedication during the competition.
At the time of going to press the team was yet to be named.
