Athletes from different secondary schools in the Polokwane cluster on Saturday put their best foot forward in the hope of being elected to the team that would represent the cluster at the Capricorn district athletics meeting expected to take place at the University of Limpopo on 23 February.
Pietersburg circuit athletics secretary, Andronicca Somo said the meeting was an indication of the athletes passion for the sport and that they had performed well.
She further informed that the district competition would be followed by the provincial meeting. Somo congratulated athletes who made it to the next round and added that she was confident that Limpopo would win medals at the nationals.
Results for the Polokwane cluster challenge were not available by the time of going to print.
