It was all glitter, gold and rather questionable fashion statements on the red carpet last night (Thursday) when President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his 2019 State of the Nation address, which coincided with the annual opening of Parliament in Cape Town.
Soon the red carpet will be rolled out at Jack Botes hall in Polokwane when Premier Stan Mathabatha is supposed to take to the podium to talk to his people in his scheduled State of the Province (Sopa) speech. The Sopa is expected to be delivered amid the usual pomp during the Legislature opening on 22 February.
Starting time for the Friday morning ceremony is 09:00 and the dress code formal, according to the media invite forwarded by Limpopo Legislature.
