Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Bet-shalom learners explain what ‘recycling’ is

Learners at Bet-Shalom were taught how to recycle and the importance thereof.

POLOKWANE – Teachers Kobus Els and Antoné Roux assisted the learners in cleaning the school premises and Review spoke to several Gr 1 learners what they think recycling means.

Buhle Ramahala – “Recycling means that we must clean up wherever we see litter.”
Phenyo Nemaponi – “I think recycling means that we must clean up after ourselves and pick up litter at school, even if it’s not ours.”
Monangiwa Femina – “Recycling means that we must pick up litter and throw it in the bin and not litter on the floor when we eat sweets and chips.”
Khutjo Mothiba – “Recycling means that anyone must not litter or throw any cans, sweet wraps, boxes or bottles on the ground.”
Lefa Diasi – “Recycling means that every learner must clean up any litter if they see it at school or at home.”
Langelihle Vilagazi – “Recycling means we must keep our school clean and also not litter when we unwrap sweets, drink juice or eat chips.”
