IN PICTURES: Polokwane DA ward councillor’s house burned down

The house of DA Ward Councillor, Androe Botha was burned down in the early hours of this morning.

POLOKWANE – According to Botha her family was not home at the time of the incident.
“Thankfully the children were at the house of a family member in the city,” Botha told our journalist.
Botha was on her way home when the first photos of the burning house reached her just past 01:00.

She believes the incident may be politically motivated. More details to follow as the story unfolds.


UPDATE

Investigations into the apparent torching DA Councillor in Polokwane, Androe Botha’s house this morning is currently underway, says the DA’s provincial leader Jacques Smalle.

Botha’s house was totally demolished in a fire in the early hours of this morning

 “The motive is not yet known but the DA welcomes the swift response by the SAPS and the fire brigade to extinguish and investigate the fire. No one was in the house when the fire started,” Smalle said.
