Limpopo Police Commissioner saddened by passing of ‘dedicated’ YCOP member

The member of the Young Civilian on Patrol (YCOP) died when the police vehicle he was traveling in collided with a tractor on Sunday morning, 27 January.

LIMPOPO – The deceased, Shonisani Nembahe (28), together with a fellow YCOP member and a constable were patrolling the area of Masisi under Thohoyandou Cluster, when the accident happened.

The Constable and the YCOP member sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba is saddened by the passing away of someone who was dedicated in assisting the police deal with crime. “I want to take this moment and send, on behalf of the police management in the province and the entire police workforce, a sincere condolences to the family of the deceased,” concluded General Ledwaba.
