POLOKWANE – As Valentine’s Day, the day of love, roses and romance, creeps closer, more and more teddy bears are sold as this makes a very romantic gift.

Some people adore teddy bears and would tell you that it is a very expensive gift. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Polokwane decided to share the love by having a raffle competition where you can win an almost life size teddy bear.
Manager of the SPCA, Selma Landman, explains that the money will go towards building material.
“We need iron post to build more camps for the donkeys as we get in a lot of those. Each ticket costs R50 and the draw will take place on Monday, 12 February, at 14:00, just in time for Valentines Day.”
Tickets are sold at the Molly Hawken Animal Clinic, Woofels Doggy Parlour, Sterkloop Pet shop and SPCA Charity Shop in Savannah Mall.
“Entrants do not have to be present at the drawing as we will contact them to inform them about it.”
There are only 100 tickets available and the teddy bear is on show at the Molly Hawkins Animal Clinic.
