#WFD – Shredded Chicken Tacos

Add a spoonful of sour cream to each taco followed by diced tomato, diced avo and shredded cabbage.

POLOKWANE – A taco is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. A taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, and cheese, allowing great versatility and variety.

What’s for Dinner says get ready to tuck into one of the tastiest taco recipes you’ll ever try as each bite is bound to taste better than the last.

Method

  • Place the chicken breasts into a pot topped with taco seasoning, juice from two limes, chopped tomatoes, coriander and a Knorr Chicken Stock Pot.
  • Put a lid on and cook for 25 – 30 minutes on a medium heat or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Once cooked, shred the cooked chicken with a fork and top with the remaining sauce from the pot. Season to taste.
  • Pre-heat oven to 180C.
  • Stack taco shells in a baking dish to keep them upright and spoon a generous helping of chicken into each taco. Sprinkle grated cheese over the tacos.
  • Bake at 180°C until the cheese has melted and is golden.
  • Add a spoonful of sour cream to each taco followed by diced tomato, diced avo and shredded cabbage.
  • Finish with a drizzle of lime juice and enjoy!
