Police are offering a R50 000 reward for information that might lead to the arrest of two suspects responsible for the dumping of a body in the bush next to the Webster Street extension on Tuesday evening.
According to Provincial Police Communications Head, Motlafela Mojapelo the deceased was identified as Marks Rambau (48), a deputy director of the Department of Transport and Community Safety. Rambau is from Ga-Masia in the Vhembe District and was currently staying at Ivy Park, Polokwane.
The deceased’s body was allegedly dumped and set alight by what appeared to be a couple driving a blue Volkswagen Polo. A security officer at a nearby premises allegedly witnessed the whole ordeal who subsequently informed Police, according to Mojapelo.
The motive for the killing is still unknown.
