Bodies of all four Mozambique drowning victims recovered

The fourth body was recovered early on Saturday morning

LIMPOPO – The bodies of all the people who disappeared during a swimming expedition along the Mozambican coastal line a few days ago, have been recovered.

The last body was recovered early this morning, with the most retrieved late yesterday.

“The bodies of Lesego Matsepe, Mmatholo Mogafe, David Kaise,and Gregory Mfune will be repatriated back to South Africa by Monday with the assistance of the Department of International Relations. The four survivors are also on the way back home, except one who came back two days ago for medical attention,” confirmed the Limpopo Premier, Chupu Mathabatha.

A task team has already been set up to assist the families of the deceased from Limpopo. This team consists of social workers and psychologists and have on Friday visited the families’ homes in Groblersdal.

‘”We are shattered and wish to thank the National government, the President of the Republic and the Minister of International Relations, Ms Lindiwe Sisulu for their swift action when they heard the news’, says the Premier.
