LIMPOPO – The assembly point was Tavhani Mall and the walk was held under the theme, Walking Towards A Drug Free Generation.
Rabelani Tshifaro, the founder of the foundation, which helps drug addicts beat addiction, said: “We want to help the communities deal with a loved one who is struggling with addiction and to help them understand those who cause havoc in the community due to their habit.”
She said they wanted to show that they are concerned about the rising incidence of drug related crimes.
After the fun walk, they also held motivational talks to help people deal with addicted individuals. She said she was impressed with the turnout.
She said they hope the community will look at drug addiction differently, instead of treating them as outcasts.
