Children’s Homes in Polokwane that you can donate old toys to

Make up a toy box from an old shoebox where you can put your old toys in and they can be donated to a child in need.

POLOKWANE – The festive season is not only a time for celebrating with loved ones, but it’s also a time to give back to those in need.

With the kids having got new toys for Christmas, why not pay it forward and donate a toy box to a children’s home in need?

In Polokwane, there are several homes that look after children in need. These children need to go to school and might need stationery or new toys or a teddy bear to love just as much as the previous owner.

Give back to the community by creating a toy box of your own. All you will need is a small box or an old shoe box and old toys that your children hardly play with. These boxes can then be packed and decorated and delivered at a local shelter or a place for children in need.

Local teacher, Charlene Pieterse recently took up such a campaign as part of her early childhood development diploma. “Helping these children in need is something that is actually very simple to do. You cannot imagine how much it means to those children,” she says.
